Wood-Simonton Family History

As a result of the union of
Carrie Richards (Willie Simonton & John Wood)
ten children were born.

Among the ten children were the following: Willie Simonton Jr, Donna Walker (Simonton), Alice Bean (Simonton), Priscilla Simonton, Rickey Wood, Catherine Dawley (Wood), Darryl Wood, Jerry Wood, Linda McCray (Wood) and Michael Wood.

These children grew, matured, found mates of their own, and even went on to become parents themselves.

The first child is Willie (Jr), whom we call Junior. Willie does not have any children.

The second child is Donna, whom we call Nennie. Donna married L.Z. Walker. They reared two children. Their children are Keisha Cross (Walker) and Leamon Walker. The deceased member of this family is L.Z. Walker.

The third child was Alice, whom we called Pam. Alice married John Bean, and eventually, they became the parents of two children. Their children are Christi Bean and Alicia Bean.  The deceased member of this family is Alice (Pam) Bean.

The fourth child was Priscilla, whom we all called Scilla. Priscilla was the parent of four children. Her children are Rosalyn Simonton, Latrice Coleman, Trina Coleman, and LaShawndra Dunn. The deceased member of this family is Priscilla (Scilla) Simonton and LaShawndra Dunn.

The fifth child is Rickey. Rickey married Michelle Harris, and prior to his marriage, he reared three children. Nogeina Fisher, Rickla Jackson (Fisher), and Nikkie Williams.

The sixth child is Catherine, whom we call Cat. Catherine married twice. (Tony Turner and Michael Dawley). Catherine had four children and adopted one. Anthony Turner, Tajuana Foster (Turner), L. Renae Singleton (Turner) Brittney Campbell and Vincent Knowles (adopted from first marriage). The deceased member of this family is Anthony Turner.

The seventh child is Darryl. Darryl married Kimberly Horride, and they became the parents of two children. Their children are Tiffane Gaskins (Wood) and Taneen Wood.

The eighth child was Jerry. Jerry never married but fathered one child. Jerry Wood, Jr. The deceased members of this family are Jerry Wood Sr. and Jerry Wood Jr.

The ninth child is Linda, whom we call Lynn. Linda married twice (Jesse Patterson Sr and Ronald McCray Sr). Out of these unions; she had four children. Jesse Patterson Jr, Ronald McCray Jr, Jerry McCray, and Trevon McCray. The deceased member of this family is Ronald McCray Sr.

The tenth child is Michael, whom we call Mike. Michael fathered eight children. Ciera Wood-Hussey, Tia Love, Nyaisha Love, Arkattie Greeley, Jalen Love, Malik Love, Ataisha Love, and Michael Wood Jr.
